Traditional with tools?

I carry a SAK alox cadet every day. Most of the time it is paired with a modern one handed opening knife for most of my cutting tasks. But, i absolutely love how easy it carries (disappears into the pocket) while having very useful tools. I use the screwdrivers more than anything else. Does anybody make a more traditional looking knife (bone handles or similar) with tools that is similarly sized?

I think the closest option would be a Scout knife. You can still find older Ulsters at very reasonable prices pretty easily.

Case also makes a scout knife with the same functions as a pioneer, even has the punch.

Here's a thread similar to yours that has some pics and a little information for you. I love my pioneer and don't plan to replace it....you could always have it modded as well.

Jake (Jsega51) did a good job answering your question.... "Scout" and "Camp" patterns.

Victorinox and Wenger both made knives with wood covers. The wood covers are glued on Victorinox knives. In collaboration with EKA, Wenger made knives with wood covers that were secured with screws instead of glue. Victorinox also made knives with stag and buffalo horn covers.

There are also vintage Swiss army knives with natural handle materials.

The Rough Rider Camp Knife comes with jigged bone in at least a couple of colors.

Schatt and Morgan has two sizes of scout knives.
Unfortunately, I lost my 2006 red bone a few years back...

I'd suggest the Rough Rider and Marbles camp knives.
The Rough Rider has an earlier style can opener. Marbles also makes an all stainless steel rendition of the old Camillus Ay utility knife, that is every bit as hood as the original Camillus - and for 1/10 the cost of the Camillus these days.

Boker Plus Tech Tool makes a very nice variety of SAK like models with better steel and sharpen up like a razor.
I carry a SAK Tinker all the time, but really like the Boker Tech Tool City 1 I got. Will probably get some other
models (more like my Tinker) before long (probably the City 5 - must have a phillips).

The OP wanted a more traditional looking knife and I think the pocket clips on the Boker knives might push them out of the traditional category altogether. Even without the pocket clips they are more modern in appearance than a Victorinox Pioneer. Nice knives though.

Correct you are, Jake! Let's keep this as traditional as we can folks.
