I have never attended the Blade Show, but have the opportunity this year as my Wife's parents live in the area and we will be there.

Are Traditionals and Slipjoints well represented at the show? I figure it is worth my time to attend, but am curious what I will find there.

What and/or who should I search out?

Yes.

Case knives always has a very nice booth set-up along the wall.
Buck knives will also be present, along with a lot of Buck Knife collections displayed.
Great Eastern Cutlery will have a booth. Talked with them last year - good people.
Canal Street Cutlery will be there.
Custom makers like Tony & Reese Bose will be there.
I'm sure other custom makers are present, but that's above my pay grade :)

As for attending your first BLADE show:

1) Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Big space, lots of standing & walking, and with all those people it can be warm.

2) Try not to plan anything else for the day - you'll not want to leave :)

3) Bring a small pack or messenger bag - good for water and snacks as they are expensive at the show. Also good to throw catalogs, flyers, and other stuff in. Keeps your hands free to coon-finger the knives.

4) Communications - cellphones are great to find people in there. Usually attend with a buddy and when we get separated it is so much easier to call rather than wander around looking for each other.

5) Have a plan - decide what companies and makers you want to visit ahead of time, maybe make a list. Once you walk in and see all those knives you can easily get distracted and end up forgetting what you wanted to check out.

6) People - the knives are great, but over the years I've made many friends and enjoy seeing them maybe more so than the knives. If there are members of this subforum attending that you enjoy talking with, maybe set-up a time to actually meet face to face. Another forum I am a member of is very big on this and I've made many friends there. Might seem weird an awkward at first, but the knives are a common bond. All of a sudden you can yak about knives with people that understand your obsession, and possibly are more obsessed than you. Later in the evening after the show a lot of people gather at a bar in the hotel there they dub "The Pit". Makers, company presidents, and just regular knife-nuts all sitting around talking about knives and stuff. It can be a lot of fun.

I haven't made the Blade show yet but it's definitely on my list. Many of the well known slip joint makers will be there I'm sure.

Many, many slipjoint makers normally and all of the slipjoint manufacturers as well.

A bucket list event to be sure. Have a good time and take pics. I'm going to a small show tomorrow and hope it's okay to take pics. Please grab some pics and share when you go. If you're down for the weekend, grab your father in law and any in laws etc, tell your wife you're going to the show. I heard that the 3 days is not long enough to see everything. Give the custom and semi production makers of fine traditional fixed blades a gander too.

On Queens site, they stated that they will be there.

Great post by Halfneck!

If only going for one day (or less :() don't plan too much. If you are interested more in the slippie manufacturers You can cruise by Buck, Case, Canal Street, GEC (Assuming they are in there usual spots) and that will be most of a lap around the perimeter. Depending on how long that takes you can re-visit your favorite, or head into the interior to check out the custom makers. There are a lot of them.

The place is HUGE, overwhelming is a fair word. I don't know if the Blade website has the map/exhibitor available yet but you definitely want to get a copy of that to get a feel for where your 'can't miss' stops will be.

Have fun!!
