Hi everyone.
Well...Traditionals is such an amazing place-Threads like this almost become mundane!

We always are reading about give-a ways that we as Traditional members do once we talk to other friends here - and it goes from there...

I have been the recipient of so much generosity here by so many friends here and its an extremely humbling feeling, and it spreads with infectious want to do the same, in New Zealand here I have gifted many knives to people with the intent to start a love of Traditional slippies,
The other day I was looking ( just for a change ) in the "Traditional Slippies for sale" Thread, and came across this neat Kutmaster that I thought the seller was asking a reasonable price for a very reasonable knife, the seller didn't state whether overseas shipping was available-so I asked ... for his very fair reasons he said no...I thought that was that...
The next thing Brad ( Ptradeco ) stepped in and said that he would buy the knife on behalf of me, and send it... now that alone is such a fantastic act of generosity alone, we traded messages, and I was waiting for word from Brad...and it came...to ask if I have received the package yet?
But I hadn't paid for it yet!!!!
And I still haven't- Brad has gifted this knife to me for a wedding gift -whew!...this means so very very much to me-that I have trouble trying to explain how grateful and fantastic this feels.
Brad and I have "done business" before when he has sold his lovely knives, and I have had the opportunity to be the lucky new owner of his beautiful knives...and even then his generosity is just fantastic.

Brad, I hope you dont mind me publicly thank you very very much for this wonderful gift, your kind and generous selflessness actions that have meant very much to me that I want our other friends to see yet again how much of a great guy you really are.
Brad, thank you... thank you very much. I am on a mission...you will see ;)

Everyone, could I show you my lovely new knife...I am not too sure of the actual PROPER name of this pattern, 4 bladed( which includes the punch ) would in my books be a Cattle knife-but it has a sleek almost Serpentine shape...your thoughts anyone?

Lovely Bone, great combination of blades,,,a well made knife , I hope you enjoy looking at this new addition of a knife that has travelled a great distance through a act of Kindness..

I too have been overwhelmed by the generosity (in every sense of the word) of this forum, it has touched me deeply. The kindness that people show to each other, daily, is amazing to experience, and a lesson to others. That's a beauty Duncan, from one great guy to another. Well done Brad :)

Congratulations on the wedding!
And the knife. I think it's a premium stockman because it's serpentine instead of oval/equal-end.

That four-bladed Premium Stockman is one sweet machine!! And it came from an extraordinary Gentleman!
I have dealt with Brad on several occasions and found him to be upstanding and generous, and honest to a fault!!
Way to go Mr. Cattleman!! Nice gift to the newlyweds.
Lucky you, Duncan!!

What a great gesture. Awesome bunch of folks on this forum!

BTW, great knife also!

That´s a beautiful knife, Duncan. And a great gesture as a wedding gift from Brad! Thanks for sharing this wonderful story (and the knife). :)

Now that is one looker of a knife!! You are most definitively deserved of such a wonderful gesture such as this, Duncan. I never tire of seeing the flow of karma in this place, its why I keep coming back, day after day. Extremely well done, Brad!

That is one sweet Utica! Congrats Duncan, and good on you Brad, this forum never ceases to amaze me in its generosity to members.

Every once in a while you run into someone that although you have never met it feels as if you have known them forever and you know you would be friends if and when that meeting ever takes place. Duncan is one of those people for me. I am humbled by your gratitude Duncan and it was of great pleasure to me to be able to send you that small token of our friendship. Best to you my friend and may God bless you, your new wife and your lives.

If only the rest of the world could run as nicely as some of these forums! I have been staggered by some of the acts of kindness I have seen within the knife community. Long may it continue!

Great stuff! The generosity shown by the members here in the Traditional Forum is borderline ridiculous, in a good way.:D

Duncan, I wasn't around very much back when you posted the pics from your wedding so I don't think I said it before, but I hope you and Sue have a lifetime of happiness together.

Everyone, thank you for your kind comments and kind wishes for Sue's and my future, I am indeed a very lucky guy in every way...and Brad, thats an extremely nice and heart warming thing to say-thank you so much, and this sort of thing leaves me with such gratitude and enthusiasm its very hard to express what it feels like to be part of our Fantastic community.
Thank you once again Brad, and fellow knife enthusiasts.

It a great tradition starting here on the traditional knives, it is really heart worming to see the kindness of people around here. Congratulations to Sue and yourself Duncan.

My suspicions that Duncan is, in fact, part labrador are beginning to gain traction.

Great gift, Brad, and good on ye Duncan for being the quality of man people enjoy giving gifts to-- a worthy recipient.

Congratulations again to you and Sue. I'm still happy thinking about your choosing a barlow to accompany you throughout your special day.
