I just got this yesterday. Brand new in the box in a trade for a guitar. It's a traditions PA Pellet rifle. I still have get all the accessories. Does anyone have any opinions on the quality?

Hi,

General consensus is that Traditions flintlocks need attention. The locks aren't all that smooth and aren't always as reliable as they should be. But they can be tuned a bit if you don't mind tinkering with them.

I would rate the accuracy of the Traditions rifles I've actually shot myself as average.

All in all, for the money they are generally OK.

It'll be accurate enough for what you want to do. You'll have to tinker with your powder, patch thickness, slug, etc., to fine out what shoots the best.

One of my cousins has a Traditions Springfield Hawken that will shoot 5 round balls in a single hole at 50yds with its favorite load. It's been a while since I shot it, so I can't remember the specifics of the load. :o
