About an hour ago Christine Simonich called me to tell me Rob had been killed in an auto accident last night, on his way home from a hunt with his brother. I don't know why these things happen to the very best people I know, but the world of knives and my world in particular have lost a brother who can never be replaced. Rob was and will remain a man among men, a very special and talented person.

As I learn more I'll post it.

Please join me in remembering Rob in your prayers.

This is quite shocking, I really dont know what to say.

But my thoughts and prayers are with his family, it is always terrible when things like this happen this suddenly

That's heart wrenching.

I can't believe it. I just spoke with him this last week.

I am truly saddened by our loss to the knife community.

I'm actually very burdened by this and don't know what to say. :(

This is the last thing I ever expected to read and incredibly heartbreaking.

Rob was a good friend. My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying in his home and spending some excellent time with Rob his family and friends.

I'm just stunned.

We are so sorry to hear of Rob's death. He was a very special and talented person.

We'll miss his smile and positive outlook on life.

Our prayers and empathy to Rob's family.

My condolences and sympathy to his family. I only knew Rob by phone and e-mail. We lost a good man this day.

Steve

I only ever spoke to him once, but I could tell he was a really nice guy. This is really a shock, and my thoughts are with his family and friends.

In shock and in tears over Rob's loss. I know many of us have also lost a friend. It is easy to picture Rob and his smile and he will be dearly missed.

I would never say that i really knew Rob, i did feel that he was one of the guys that it was easy to "know" from the forums. I could tell he was a great guy, just from the few posts we had back and forth.

He will certainly be missed.

Robs Raven has been watchin my six for more than a year now, goes with me evrywhere.God bless to family and friends:(
