I've had my Trail Blazer take down buck saw for a few years. Great rig. I don't care for the fact the blades are propriatary but other than that it cuts through wood like no one's business.

I just got an old ATV so I'm making a little trail out back in the woods so here's a video of me using the saw. The saw part starts at 1:00 minute and later at 6:30 minutes.

I just used my Trailblazer for a week vacation including winter camping in ME and NH. I wouldn't want to winter camp without my 24" Trailblazer and Snow and Nealley Hudson Bay axe!

I've had two Trail Blazer break down buck saws for many years and agree in spades with the positive experience here. One I keep assembled just inside the porch for ongoing property work. The other I keep in my vehicle, handy for inclusion with my pack but also handy for travel here in the Crown Lands nearby. Here there are many access roads open on the way in, but which may not be open on the way out because of a fallen tree. There are not always other travellers to help out. The maintenance of the fire access routes is not what it once was.

I cannot provide a comparative opinion, nor can I view the video - am on dialup. I rely primarily on my saw for camp firewood, rustic furniture (backrest, seats ... would like to see a thread on basic diy bush furniture) and do enjoy the comfort this saw brings ... and with such ease.

Yes sir. A saw and an axe that work well make you a lot more comfortable. I'd love to see your axe if you would post a picture. My axe is a scandy forest axe but I'd like a Hudson's bay profile.

I don't have any photos of mine but here's a direct comparison of the Hudson Bay to a Scandinavian Forest Axe:

I'm quite happy with mine, but I suspect the GB scandy forest axe is much nicer. Since I've only had cheap camp hatchets in the past, the Snow and Nealley seems wonderful to me!
