One of my friends has the Trail Master in his kit but I've never seen him use it...So, I asked him how well it slices & dices.

He lives on a ranch so there is no shortage of stuff to slice, dice & chop...I would have to agree with SWED above, it is the best chopping bowie I've ever used but, the rusty Estwing hatchet my buddy keeps on his 4wheeler, chopped even better. That is why I have never seem him use his Trail Master.

Also, the edge on the Trail Master is thick, it's actually thicker than the edge on the Estwing hatchet. The Trail Master did cut the ropes that we had but it works better as a rope chopper...I put the rope on a block of wood and chopped...it's a real good chopper, kinda fun actually!

We don't know anyone who has an A2 to lend so we don't know if it would be too big to be used for cutting chores or if it is too light for chopping chores.

If I buy the Trail Master it will be because it is a fun knife to have
