It's been overcast, hot and humid. As long as I have plenty of water I can chug along pretty good though. That type of weather also keeps other people away which is nice

This was a completely new trail for me, gotta love it

This would make an awesome fire reflector. I can just picture an early native crouched in there making a handrill fire

palm trees aren't just lining the streets of Beverly Hills. there was a little patch here of about 10 trees in the middle of nowhere

Good thing I found a dryer, my socks were damp. Seriously, I don't know who dragged this thing clear out here, but this was one piece of trash I couldn't pack home

I have been really digging the Mora lately, especially the 510. weighs next to nothing but packs a punch. I have tried putting it to rougher use.

This piece was wrist thick but I was able to bang it through cross grained. I dunno, I was pretty impressed!

Great pics as always buddy. For the Mora to cross batton through that size wood is pretty damn impressive !!!!

Great pics........ funny the weird things you find out and about. Even funnier (read stupid and senseless) the people that drag that stuff out there to begin with.

Thats pretty impressive of that knife. Weighs little, and still packs a punch = a keeper IMO. ;)

Part of the enjoyment of using it is how light it is, I don't get any wrist fatigue with it. Also manipulating it around with ease like a paring knife is effortless. PB on apple slices is one of my favorite trail foods and the Mora zips through like butta!

The other part that keeps me grinning is thinking about the price while using it. Most other knives falling in the $10-$15 range are things you would find at Walmart or a swap meet (I went through many such "knives" as a kid)

Good stuff. out here in AZ you see tons of garbage in the low desert; people just don't get it. the nice thing is that most LEO are avid outdoorsmen and women and are more than happy to strenuously enforce no-dumping laws

Cool pics. I'd love to hike that, mind telling me where it's at? thanks

Northwest end of the San Fernando valley, Santa Sussana mountains. This area is my quick and easy getaway, there are several trailheads right near my house.

1095 Carbon Mora is real nice and takes a great edge. Sandvik 12c27 polishes up great and in my experience rolls under stress more so than chips. Once the Mora bug bites it's only a matter of time before someone owns a pile of them.

Yo Mike, I know you've been busy lately but you gotta post some of that NorCal greenery  I'm jonesin for some big trees!
