Trailbum BK15 sheath prize..

A while back I somehow won a handmade kydex sheath for a BK15 from our mate Trailbum right here on BFC. Couldn't believe it. So stoked. 1095Vik (1066?) also won and he got to pick the color. I got the other one. Turns out the one I got wasn't just black. The other side was OD green! My fave! Whilst I actually received '2nd' prize I feel I actually got the best deal. I just wanted to say to Jason, THANK YOU! This is so danged cool! Now, I did say that I would gift it to my brother in law. I'm an idiot. This sheath is so effing awesome I'm really kicking myself. But, true to my word, it will be his. Soon. Wanna do a couple of things to it first. But I did manage to get some pics of it with his 15 when I was down there recently. Behold. My (not really mine) Trailbum sheath..

Just for sharts and giggles, here's a shot of his awesome patina'd and convexed 15. It was done, believe it or not, with mayonnaise. The patina, not the convex. (Really? You idiot..)

Trailbum does make some awesomeness, as I can say from personal experience. As to giving the sheath to your sheath to your BIL, that is a fine and generous gesture. As to your self assessed iodiocy.....I'm afraid I have to agree. Not that I've EVER done anything so uncontestedly regrettable (not anything that I'll be sharing, at any rate)....ever. . Really, what on earth were you thinking?

Yes Mrs. Nutcase says all too often that I'm too generous for my own good. I just see it as planting the Becker seed. Will and my sister don't have a lot of folding stuff so I figured I'd help a ninja out by giving him something custom. I actually have a plan for that sheath (he doesn't have it yet, it will be given to him soon though). Once I've completed said plan I'll throw up some pics to share. If it goes accordingly it should turn out really cool.. As for the morning binge, well, it technically was morning, just very early..
