A small Hunter or bird and trout knife, with a 4" D2 blade 8" OAL.
Hardened, cold treated at -112 F and triple tempered for HRC 61. Scales are manzanita burl, pins are yellow bronze welding rod. Sheath is black and burgandy retan with mule deer antler beads on latigo strings.

attached file didn't come through, I'll try again.

Simple, useful and well thought out are the first things that came to mind . I like it . It reminds me of my Schrade skinner that I used for 10 or so years before I could afford a handmade knife .But, I still have that skinner and love it .

Thanks for sharing..

to avoid confusion, this knife is handmade. I forgot to mention it has brass liners.
I used to have an old Schrade skinner also, but there is no comparison with this D2 blade.

I know it is handmade , I did not mean to imply anything else but that it reminded me of a very good design in knives . I also have many D2 blades and they are outstanding. I still think it is a well thought out and executed knife. Thanks again for sharing...

Too much glare makes it hard to make out the blade. I can see the shape, but no detail. I can however see the sheath very well and I like it a lot.

My apologies for the glare in the photo, I am working on getting better at it. I am going to try building a light diffusing screen to reduce it.
The sheath is retanned leather, which used to be cheap, but now they call it latigo and charge more for it than vegetable tanned leather.
