I started watching this show about a few months ago after a co-worker intro'd me to it.

I have to say I'm really hooked.

Anyone else a fan of the show? It has unfortunately, affected my grammar somewhat.

A great intro to the series is the Movie. I first watched it, and got hooked.

It's a strangely addictive show isn't it? I started watching last winter after a friend made me sit down and watch an entire episode. After that I was hooked. Now I have all of the seasons on DVD.

I still can't believe that the guy who plays "Bubbles" ended up marrying Nichole Hiltz, the hot blond actress from the movie! (Her character was the stripper/car thief that dated Julian.)

Does anyone know if it taken off in the US yet?

Looked it up also...never cut it in the USA.

LMAO Sounds like all the bad jokes about pot heads rolled into one show for our convenience. The only thing missing from that rendition, was selling all you have or can steal to get high, and having the cab stop on the way home at 7-11 for a double arm load of junk food to take care of the 'munchies'!!! :D

I probably should have mentioned that one of the reasons it never made it in the States is the offensive language such as the title mentioned above.

I've never seen it. HOwever, my friend worked on that show--can't remember what he did for them, but I know he did some photography.

I'll post a link to Mike's website in a minute:)

That photo above with the kittens is Mike's as well...

I took a photography workshop with him a few years ago--he has really come a long way--I was blown away to see his work now:eek:

Here in Canuckistan, TPB has been something of a "cultural" phenomenon for years.

i can understand what kind of images must be portrayed when thinking about the show. gratuitous smoking, drinking, swearing, marijuana use, and even gun play.

when i encountered it, i dismissed it too. low rate and obscene.

but if you somehow find yourself renting the movie, you'll see that it's not what it appears to be despite all the above.

this is going to be hard to believe, but it's really family centric, with really good hearted people. it's hard to explain unless you watch it.

believe me, i can understand what people are thinking, as i thought it too.

guys, it's a Cdn show, c'mon. :D

Its pretty funny stuff, I enjoyed the show more than the movie myself. The movie does a have a breif scene in which Julian is not holding a rum and coke.

I saw this show a while ago when I was visiting some friends in Vancouver. Thought it was pretty funny at the time, but haven't seen any episodes since.

Some of my personal favourite moments from the show include Bubbles saying a bittersweet goodbye to "Steve French", a cougar the encountered checking up on their crops. Upon returning to Ricky and Julian, he inquires:

"Are you boys cryin'?"
Ricky (wiping tears from his eyes): "No, we're not @#$%in' cryin'!"

And of course Bubbles filling in for J-Roc at the big Rap concert:

Mad MC skills leave me stuck
I roll with my kitties and I'm hard as @#$!
I'm down with Plato and Socrates
I like to get busy with all the ladies...
