Trainer Blade Prone to Rust

Does anyone know what kind of steel Emerson Knives uses for the blades of their trainers? I have one of their Commander trainers and, though I keep it clean and oiled, the blade is extremely prone to rust. The relatively inexpensive cost of the trainer compared to the cost of the actual knife leads me to believe that they do not use a premium stainless steel in the trainers. Has anyone else had a bad problem with their trainers rusting? Thanks for your input.
