I thought I'd post this here in case anyone was thinking about making their own training blades.
The project took a couple hours at most. Probably could have done it quicker if I didn't have my 12 year old son helping but it wouldn't have been as fun.

I purchased a scrap piece of aluminum from a local metal supply company. Approx 8x20 3/16th was $12.
I kept the power tools to a minimum as well, due to my assistant. Jigsaw and cordless drill.

Here's the aluminum with my Tomahawk laid out (the second Tomahawk outline wasn't cut out, I have a Winkler II Combat Axe on order and will make a trainer for it when it arrives):

Darkened pencil outline with a sharpie, 3/8th pilot holes and top of Tomahawk cut:

Once I got the rough outline cut out I hand filed to the line and rounded the edges. We then hand sanded the edges with medium and fine sandpaper.

Tomahawk and Belt Knife finished. Decided to wrap the knife handle with 550 cord, still need to dull the spike on the Tomahawk and wrap the handle:

Final Thoughts:
I'll plan on buying some blue 550 cord to better identify these as training blades.

Of course these weigh considerably less then their live counterparts but I thought it was the safest solution to incorperate these tools into training. As the saying goes "Train Hard, Bleed Less"

Nice work! How did the balance turn out? Is that 3/16" or 3/8"? it looks thicker than 3/16" to me in the last photo.

Thanks, it was a fun project. Their both very light but feel good in the hand. It's 3/16th, guess I zoomed in a bit too much.

Overall Head, Spike to Spike: 6.25

Here's another question:

On the Winkler Belt Knife, is the point slightly trailing? It looks like it to me, but I've never been sure. I figure that since you filed out the edge, you'd know a little better than me. Either way, I want one :D
