I have the Tram and am considering picking up the Daga. Anyone that owns or has used both have a feel for one vs the other. I'm looking for a fairly compact chopper that packs the most punch for its weight and length. Occasional hardwoods/firewood processing and camp stuff for backpacking. Am pretty happy with my Tram, but after putting a fresh edge on my CS Panga I couldn't help but think a shorter version might not hit harder than the bolo and only sacrifice a little in weight and handling. The Imacasa would seem to be a good fit but it might not be worth the cost of shipping, and then of course I'd have to make a sheath for it, sand the grips, etc. All stuff I love doing anyway, but not for something that won't work for me.

Unfortunately I have no experience with the Daga, so I'm not able to chime in on this one like I usually do. :o

Ouch, if you can't help then there's probably only one way to find out!

Better get my file and sandpaper ready.....
