Are any of the Tramontina machetes 1/8" thick or more? Are any models thicker than their other models? Thanks for any info you have.

I think (but don't have a ton of experience) that Tramontina machetes are generally thinner, closer to 1/16 or 3/32" thick.

Ontario machetes can be had in 1/8", if you buy the "heavy duty" versions.

1/8" ?

Are they really thinner than that? The imacasa and condor ones are definitley thicker then.
I'll check out my Tram when I get back to Raleigh and check it out.

I think a bit under 1/8" for most Trams you get in N. America.
The ones down south are thinner.

Thanks Seth, I thought I had heard the Bolo was 1/8",but I wasn't sure. Does anyone know if any of their others are 1/8"? Do they taper thinner towards the tip?
Thanks

I just measured 2, 16" Trams at 3/32s...these are recent purchases...not certain if this would hold true for longer models.

most likely the long models will be tapered
