Tramontina sheaths, what do you use? Are there any reasonably priced options?

I have a couple 14" Tramontina machetes Id like sheaths for, but having a hard time finding any decent one that is reasonably priced.

Ive seen the cardboard/ductape and cheepie nylon rig options. PVC homemade jobs are OK...but heavy and PVC fumes can harm.
Leather is pricey...also there is a concern about cutting the sheath up over time.
Kydex is nice, but everyone wants an arm & leg for anything there. (I know you can DIY, but im not looking to)

Are there any decent budget options out there?? Im guessing its a slim market, as the Trams are just so cheap...its hard to justify paying 5-10x the price.
Im beginning to think I should get some Ontario's with the hard sheaths. I haven't held them, but they look decent. Thanks for any input

Ive used plastic lawn edging for screw together sheaths, its some kind of poly plastic comes in rolls bout 6" wide by 3 mm thick tough as nails and cheaper than kydex

Wildmanh, Heber Ellsworth. Hands down the man for leather machete sheaths. :)

I see a lot of potential in those plastic sheaths as a base for further projects for some do it yourselfers. :)

Thanks for the help guys. Its a bummer there are no reasonable options out there, specific to all the sizes.

What do you consider reasonable? $16 seems pretty reasonable for anything up to 18"

That's mine that I cut down to 14.5"

When I cut my Tramontina down to 12 inches I realised that I got on with it so well that I'd be using them for a while. (I'm on my third one.) So I decided to make a good leather sheath for it.
At first I made a cheap sheath out of pvc pipe. That's probably the way to go if you've just got it & then if you don't get on with it nothing is wasted.
