I was waiting for bite. T at Boker told me it is a Drop Point, but it really isn't. That blade needs a new name. Boker's "new" Trance has a drop point. NAME THAT BLADE!

I read somewhere they called it a "modified tanto" that is the classic trance.

Well...usually a drop point means that the point falls lower than the center of the knife IIRC...so MDP is a good acronym for it. Or it should be called the, "Chadoyance" blade.

I always like Paul's intellectual word choice . He always comes up with words i never heard of in english describing certain caracteristics. If you wikipedia chatoyance . It comes from the french Chat Oeil meaning Cat eye. it is used for the chimmering effects on gemstones . The velvet like shine produced by certain materials like MOP . He referred to this on his potterma Bubinga pimped subcom.

In honour to you i chanced it into Chad-oyance.
Yeah i think MDP is a good wordchoice describing the classic Trance bladeshape. Allthough i think all your knives classify for the Chadoyance term!!! lol
