Trance Decisions Hmmm

I just discovered Boker knives probably let's say...an hour or two ago. I've heard of em before and always brushed them off. For $22 dollars the Trance is looking very good right now for a user. Have a few questions yall might be able to help me with.

First one - I like a strong tip, which would you suggest drop point or clip point? (reverse tanto style? Not sure what you call it, but doesn't look like a clip point in the since of old school ones.)

Second - Does the Trance come in a black blade with plain edge? Only been able to find the combo edge.

If these knifes seem to be as good as people say they are for the money, I can see myself with a whole lot of em. hard to beat Asus-8, FRN, Frame lock for $22 dollars.

Btw - I know its not out yet, but the Keycom...any ideas if there will be a serrated version?

Just pick the model you like. They are all good! Also, all cofigurations are available, you have to look around! Happy Hunting!

Sorry, we only offer the Black in a partial serration.
I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I prefer the Drop Point Trance myself. I have one clipped to my pocket as I type this. Awesome knife for the $$.

The black combo edge is sweet .

Pointy as well, out of box like a needle:D:D:D I carry it in my left pocket as my secondary EDC (EKI Mini Com as primary EDC), or the only knife I carry when traveling "light". Don't wanna break in my NIB black Hyper, #30 :D:p

I've already ordered a KeyCom, black one. As pointed out earlier (by TJT???) it won't come with serrations because the blade is too thin. All other Böker Plus CLB designs in Black come with combo-edge, noteably the Direkt.

Downside of the Trance is the plastic washer:grumpy: you can order bronze phosphorus ones easily in the states thought, but not here:grumpy:

Went ahead and ordered a Trance with drop point. $27 all together, not bad. Pretty stoked to see what $27 will get ya, from the hype, you get alot. Will keep yall informed once it arrives.

Aloha Adammg,

First of all, mahalo to everyone for your support and replies.

Um, Adammg, you will see clearly that the hype on the Trance is all REAL. I have heard it many times that for a great working knife, the Trance is hard to beat. Also, well known knife designer of the SOG Revolver stated that the Trance has the most perfect thumb stud placement ever on a folder that sues them. The Flipper ala Carsen needs a bit more wrist "oomph" to open, but once ya play with it a bit, it opens as fast as any AO out there.

Keep us posted. You will NOT be disappointed.
Trust me.

God bless and mahalo!

My Trance arrived today, and all I gotta say is I need every make/varation of every knife CLB has designed...I am highly highly impressed with this knife, these knives could clearly go for more than there street value and still be a bargin...I've tried other knifes with the same steel that I didn't like as good that cost me twice as much as the Trance! Boker especially CLB designs are in my top 5 favorite knife manufactures.

You have to get at least one Subcom, but try the M-Type also for a bigger CLB. I find myself keeping the Trance handy more often, especially in warm weather when I'm dressing as light as possible, but the M-Type is a heavy-duty knife in a very comfortable package.
