I was excited to receive my Trance in the mail recently. I wanted a "user" EDC, and this knife is it. Low and be hold, the liner lock does not drop in, at all. Instead of sending it back, I thought, send it to STR! Since Gull Wing was so kind to make me a cool orange G-10 handle slab,it made sense to let STR do his thing on this little Gem of a knife. Talk about Boker-Plus! I'm glad a guy like STR is around. Happy Days- all!

Lycosa i think you don't mean liner lock but framelock.

Do you have a picture to show us. The framelock slab at the but end of the handle should have a 3/4mm cnc outfrazed bit for the framelock to flex.

If you don't detect such a dent you should sent it back to the waranty repair service.

Greets Maarten.

Marteen,
Thanks! I mean frame lock. DUH, on my part. I do believe STR will fix er up. If I was not going to put the orange handle slab on, I would have sent it back to W&R. I'll ask STR to post a pic before he sends the Trance back. It's a great knife. Later.

Lycosa,

The "dent" in the framelock should look simular to this one taken from a Subclaw. ( the red line encircled area)

For the Trance it should be approx 8 mm wide and approx 1 mm deep.

Thanks for the pic, Maarten. I'll show STR that photo. He has the knife. Have you heard of this happening with the Trance? I can't wait to get that knife back! Thank you for your help!

Maarten,
I feel a little foolish. STR Told me all that has to happen is for the locking bar to break-in. I could've sworn that bar stuck up too far! He's gonna send it back. Thanks for your help. Have a great holiday!
