I bought this knife recently at an antique store, and was wondering if it actually says anything for the inscription. I thought it was a Navaja design, but the writing appears middle eastern to my untrained eye (I stuck with physical anthropology and archaeology over linguistics!).
It's a very solid friction folder- super thin blade takes a great edge (not expecting great edge holding), it's incredibly light as compared to modern pocket knives, and appears to be made from 2 or 3 pieces of horn almost seemlessly put together. The tip sinks solidly into the curve in the end of the handle, and after carrying it last week I have full confidence in its worth as a user knife.
With a 2 3/4" closed Imperial that found its way into my pocket for $1
If anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated.
