Howdy folks.
A week or 2 ago I bought a Victorinox Saphire Tinker.

I'm worried about the "ruggedness" of the scales.
I did a search and found a couple threads on this topic, but it seems like everyone is worried about scratches from coins and stuff.
I'm worried about warping from heat and cracking.
Obviously if I throw it on the stove or drop it on pavement it will break, but how much does it take?
I want to use it, but the scales really do feel flimsy.

How hot is the water that people are using to warp these? If I clean it with hot water in the sink, will that warp it?
How much of a fall does it really take to break it?
If I'm using the screwdriver hard, will it flex enough to crack the scales?
If you have a picture of your user-translucent-SAK that would be great.
Thanks.

I've had a Spartan Lite in emerald translucent for over a decade. It's held up just fine, as well as any Cellidor model I've had. I'd carry it more if it were less bulky but that (rather useless) flashlight makes it unduly wide.

I've been carrying transluscent handled classics for many years and they haven't broken so far. Once in a while I like to clean up the dings and scratches, and I've found that a little brass polish will make the scales look like new again.
