Since the all-powerful Texaco A oil is no longer available...

What brands/flavors/etc. of tranny fluid do you guys recommend as a quenchant?

Some better than others?

Or just the cheapest one off the shelf at Wal-Mart?

Sorry I dont know anything about the tranny oils.........I have some Texaco A in my shop and Chevron 70 quench oil.....I now use the Chevron over the Texaco.
There are still plenty of purpose made quench oils available

where do you get the Chevron 70?

I had to purchase 55 gallons of it from a local oil supplier....I have sold most of it on. .... If your ever in Nashville I can let you have some if I have any left.

..I think that Chevron and Texaco are now the same company ..if so, then if its Tex A you particularly want, maybe Chevron could produce something similar?

I don't need the Tex A....just want to know if some of the other tranny fluids are preferred over others...

Thanks for the offer.
