Hi,

I've been doing some searching on the board about Tritium watches and really haven't coem across my answer yet. So here goes... I have a Luminox which is now fogging inside on the crystal. Given that the prices have come down so much on these, it seems that after repair and shipping, I'd be better off looking at a new one. Question is: Has anybody had both the Traser H3 and Luminox? I'm looking for the brighter of the two.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

As far as I know, Chris, both are built with exactly the same technology (if not even being manufactured at the same facility), and therefore the difference in brightness should be nil.

Understand also that just about any local watch repair outfit should be able to open up your current watch, dry it out and replace the gasket for a very reasonable price.

Thanks, Bronco. I'll check with my local watchmaker to get a price before giving up on the repair idea.

Brgds,
Chris

No prob, Chris. In most cases (and I stress, "most" cases :) ), fixing the water intrusion problem on Luminox type watches (i.e. those where screws hold on the case back) is as simple as replacing a worn or damaged gasket. Good luck.

That should be under warranty by Luminox. Also I've been looking at a watch called the Night Hawk it';s made my MTMSpecialopswatch Cpmpany.I just starting researching them but everything so far looks good.Only thing is they cost alot.

Tras/Lum are the same watch. The brightest TRITIUM VIAL watch on planet earth is BALL , price is high and quality is poor. Westcoast Time has a great selection of tritium vial watches. About $65.00 > $800.00. Battery, manual & mech. Automatics. Search TRITIUM vial http://westcoastime.stores.yahoo.net/nsearch.html
