Just got my Trash-2 in today. It feels lighter than I expected it to be but feels incredible in hand. I think it will be a really good camp knife and a good quick chopper. I need to go find something to chop! Here's a pic, the flash on my camera makes the blade look grey but it's sage. Thanks for looking.

The specs on these are NICE.

3/16" thick and 2" or 2"+ blade height.

Can we get some pics showing off the spine or pic angles of the spine + blade?

1.95" height. Here are some pics of the spine. It's a flat spine, looks to be 90° but if you were wondering about the spine for striking a ferro rod, the spine edges don't feel that sharp and the coating would need to be taken down enough to dig into the ferro rod to produce a spark. If that was what you were wondering.

Nice! What drew me to this one was the thinner blade stock,, I think it'll be a great performer

This pic with the 911 and one of the ChopHouses was all I was able to get before work. Denny continues to put my favorite stock edge on the -kin knives. I like the 911 as a do it all knife but like the ChopHouses better, the thinner stock and edge might make the Trash-2 better yet.(The thin cut ChopHouse has similar stock thickness but the grind starts lower) I don't care for the square choil but time will tell if that's a problem with this beauty or not.

Thanks! I remembered it had a taller blade height than the ASH2, but you're right. Busse specs are 1.95"

I appreciate the additional pics.

Nice comparisons. I remember being surprised when I received my lean cut Chophouse as all Busse pics only showed the high saber. I like that this Trash 2 is a higher saber, 3/16" stock blade nearly 2" tall. I think it's going to perform great.

Do you gents have a scale?? I'd love to know the weight :)

Grog mentioned in a separate thread that his weighed 13.5 ounces.

Thanks for mentioning the weight. It feels alot lighter than some of the other knives I've gotten recently. It feels pretty quick in hand. I need to go find some stuff to test it out on.

Used the trash 2 to baton small campfire logs this last weekend and it was a joy to use. Very comfortable and well balanced in the hand. Sharpened to 19 degrees per side and the edge held up very well, even busted through a bunch of knots without issue.
Like it a lot, just feels good. Hope to give it the chopping test soon and post up some pics.

Great knife to have around the camp.
