Treatment contact wheel

I have a burr king 2x72 that I just got built in 1996. What can I use to treat the rubber contact wheel to help preserve it? Silicon spray?

I’m pretty sure silicon spray on a contact wheel might not be the best idea. Used to use silicon spray back when I played a lot of airsoft, in that application it was one of the only lubes that didn’t break down plastic. That would probably reduce friction on the back of your belts if you sprayed it on your contact wheel. If it’s currently not in good condition it’s probably best to replace it.

Also you’ll want to post this in the shoptalk forum not in general knife discussion. There will be more knife makers over there that can help you out.
