Just got done watching tonights episode of tred barta. He killed 3 hogs with a knife. I thought it was pretty cool.

Personally i like the way tred barta thinks and was wondering what you guys that have seen the show think.
 
I watched it thought it was pretty good as well. It looked like he was using
a bowie but I couldn't see who the maker was.

They had a thread over in prac /tac about hog hunting with a knife a little
while ago. I was surprised at how quickly the Hog dropped/died after Barta
stabbed it.
 
I think Tred Barta uses a Camillus OVB? At least thats what it looks like to me!
 
thats what it looked like to me too but the blade was a little short.

And the thread about hog hunting was the thread that i started if we're talking about the same one :D . I thought i put mine in blade discussion however
 
I think it was the Fisk designed bowie. On another forum there has been a serious discussion about pig knives by those who use them .A 8-12" blade with strong tip and good guard. One factory knife they recommend is the Cold Steel Trial Master. Anyway Barta finally did it right the last time ,a quick thrust though the heart and death way fast. That of course is safer for him and the dogs....In general I find Barta a bit obnoxious but he finally gets the job done.
