Tremor screws?

So I just bought a tremor and when trying to change the pocket clip from tip-down to tip-up, I found out one of the pocket clip screw heads was stripped, now I'm pretty sure I didn't strip it since I didn't even get a chance to turn it, the bit just spun in the head.

So I contacted Kershaw warranty department, and it turns out the tremor has been discontinued and they do not have any replacement parts, I'll say Kershaw has top notch customer service because they offered me a voucher for the full MSRP of the knife since they didn't have any screws, that just shows you how awesome they are.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows the size of the screws the tremor uses for the pocket clip? I'd rather not get it replaced with another knife since I quite like this one.

It's not discontinued, but because it is an oversea's knife, so Kershaw warranty will not have any parts for it. All I know is that they should be size 6 torx.

We do have some parts on our imports. Please call Warranty and see if they can assist.

My Tremor clip screws are hex head 2mm if remember right.

It's probably not really stripped. I have noticed that the torx screws on the import products have a female (so to speak) that is on the high side of tolerance (on the big size), and if you use a torx driver that is on the small end of tolerance (most of the cheap ones are, including the Husky that I got from HD), the engagement can be minimal. If you are very careful and use a lot of inward pressure when turning, you could get lucky and have it work out ok. I purchased a set of Craftsman mini torx drivers, and they seem to fit much better, though you still want to be careful on the Chinese fasteners. I have heard from a few sources (including on here and the Kershaw facebook page) that Wiha torx drivers are the best bet.

This issue isn't an exclusive Kershaw issue; I recently purchased my first Spyderco, a Tenacious (had to see what the hubub was about), and the Chinese torx screws on the pocket clip were sloppier than any Chinese Kershaw that I've seen (I do have several). I didn't think that I was going to be able to get one of the three out at all, even with my Craftsman driver (it felt like it was stripped right out of the box, the driver just spun in the head until I applied LOTS of pressure); had them send me a new set of clip screws (which did arrive within a week).

that would explian why they said they where shipping me some new screws about 3 weeks ago and they havent arrived yet lol. my rotten luck too pick a dc'd model lol! oh well the clip is fine where it is! still a solid big hunk of sharp blade for not much cash!
