Both have nice long blades, both have good handle shapes, both blades are excellent for slicing and stabbing, both have good thick liner locks, both steels are virtually the same, both are hefty but not overly so, both lock up solidly, both blades flick out quickly, and though the grinds are different, one can make the argument that they both cut like BEASTS!

If you could take either one but not both, which would it be?
(And why?):)

RAT1 -- 3/4" shorter handle means it's a lot more comfortable to carry in a pocket.
I also like the 4 position pocket clip and the lack of A/O means one less thing to break.

rat1 i dont like the assist on the tremor enough for it to make a difference and the rat1 is pretty smooth anyways(try the utilitac around the same price and incredibly smooth but a little bigger in pocket) Also I dont like the ergonomics on the tremor as much

I have been using mine in my construction work for over a year and a half now. The RAT is pretty scratched up but still locks up like a tank and has no issues. This is a really sturdy knife. Over the last year I have spared it nothing and it has years of work left in it.

Nothing against the Tremor, but I would go RAT.

I have a Tremor and I like everything except the assist, it just bothers my peace of mind... I don't know why :p if you like assisted folders, get one, but the assist just naggles me.
