well I decided on a tomahawk I'm going with one of these just curious as to what the differences are functionally the Warhawk seems to have a spike that will penetrate more and the trench axe edge it seems a little further away from the handle. I will be throwing it not really using it for camping I'm sure I'll do some destruction out in the woods. Or you could just tell me which one you think looks better, thanks

Have the earlier hawk but i figure the Trench hawk sounds way better as a tool of mayhem :-) honestly figure either generally works the same. When chopping best keep your face away from that formidable zombie head spike.

If you really want a dedicated thrower, then a wood handle with a slip-fit head is your best bet. All handles on throwers should be considered consumable, and the buzz on polypro handles is that they break more often than one would think given how otherwise tough they are. Whatever you get, buy at least 2 if you can, it really cuts down on the whole "recovery your shot" process. Heck, go for one of each

I don't know about throwing, but I use the trenchhawk for yard work and such. The back spike is surprisingly good for digging out tap roots from weeds. Thankfully, my neighbors are very understanding, ha ha.

I prefer the spike on the Trench Hawk. It's devastating. The War Hawk spike is made more for prying things open. I already have an Ontario SPAX for that purpose. If you want to pry things open, get the War Hawk. If you want a better fighting hawk, but the Trench Hawk.
