Triage or Adamas

Im sure there are many other posts about these knives; no need to tell me. I was looking into getting the 915 black Triage. Also, I was looking into the Benchmade Adamas 275 in black. They're around the same price point, but the triage is a little lower. How often will i need rescue cutters? Then again, do i need a heavier knife, by almost 2 ounces with the Adamas? I want g-10 scales and a hard use knife; I think i found them. Now i have to decide... Any help?

PS: Which black coating will last longer? And which will sharpen easier for an amateur :) ?

Adamas. Its a personal favorite of mine.

To answer some of your questions (to the best of my ability): The black blade coatings will both wear the same, as they are both Benchmade's BK1 coatings and not Cerakote. Ease of sharpening is a toss up. D2 is traditionally hard to sharpen. I have no experiance with N680, so I can't help you with that.

Either way, they are both cool knives.

Adamas all the way. I don't have the Triage, but I've owned the Adamas, so my opinion is sort of biased. :D

(It's a great knife though, completely bomb proof)

Triage is an excellent knife for EMT/emergency use, if that is not your focus I would recommend something else from Benchmade.

I would go with the triage only because of the size of the adamas, when it comes to knife that big, I'd just rather carry a fixed blade. The triage is a great folder though, the textured handle makes it almost impossible to lose grip on if your hands will be wet or moist.

I also was trying to choose between the two and decided on the triage the adamas just felt too bulky. My full time job as a truck driver I need a knife daily to cut plastic and straps off pallets and the safety cutter works very well for that and for the times I am working as a EMT the triage works very well but never use the safety cutter I have my shears that work better and always within reach.
