Mailman delivered some nice steel today... I'm happy with everything.

They all exceeded expectations.

Even if the handles on both Kuks shrunk more than usual.
 
OMGosh there is some pretty metal there. You are going to love that little babyCAK if you don't already just take it with you this weekend for anything you do.

Boker Vox BOB - This one is AUS-8, comes in different color and steel flavor. Highly recommended.
It's a brute! Honorable competitor of HI Micro Bowie. Believe it or not it even got a thicker spine than the iBBB.

I like the shape. But I think Boker is going to have to do without my patronage. I can't afford my current addictions LOL. But should my financial situation ever suddenly see a significant increase of income I might have to consider taking a much MUCH closer look. How does the tang under the finger area near the nape feel? is it sharp on the hand or is it less squared than it appears in the picture?

Sorry for my non native English - I don't know where is the nape on a knife.

Out of the box, there were couples of too angular areas that I rounded with a file. It was perfect less than 10 min later. The whole thing is surprisingly comfortable.
 
No worry snowwolf. I was actually pretty lacking in my ability to describe what I meant. But your answer covered what I was asking about. I meant the part that is cut out for the index finger. I was calling the back edge of the blade next to where your index finger sits the nape. Bad description on my part sorry. It just looked like the tang might be higher than the handle in some spots and that might wear on your hand when you use the knife.

I love that R10. Although it suffers the same quality as the Bowie... The pictures do not make them justice. It is an AWESOME hunting knife. Not as pretty as the Bowie but a very good allrounder.

I'll take more pics of the handle when I got few minutes. Now I have my girl friend whispering in my ears: Get out of this dark room, we have shopping to do. :yawn:
 
Ohhhh! That "S" word. Shopping is what keeps my wife and I happy together! As long as we dont have to do it together our marriage is fine. "Sorry babe I gotta pump the septic tank today...you have fun ok"

No Bawanna, That is what will be floating around if you don't get it done soon. I think your $11.31 is going to need a whole platoon of friends. Last time I saw a bill for that it was highway robbery. I guess they really have you sorry by the shorts though what are you going to do after all?

Funny, how couples develop what works for them. I doubt I could deal with shopping with my husband. He is one of those up and down every aisle regardless of the shopping list in case he "finds" a special on something we can stock up on. Me I go in and head straight to the Hostess aisle then grab the stuff we have on the list and run. So we swap doing the groceries for 1 month then the cooking the next. Only downside to no kids. You have to set the table if you are the cook that month LoL.
