It was the BM970 that really stole my heart so many years ago when I was 15, drooling over a glass case at a mall knife shop. Ever since then, I've been in love with the Emerson tanto.

I'm going to attempt to make something that captures that feeling as fixed blade. I'm freehanding everything but I think I have the proportion correct. Handles will be rounded black G10 with carbon steel pins... 1/4" for the "pivot" and 3/16" to approximate handle screws.

Here is some of my previous Emerson inspired grinds... I think I can do his style justice.

Drop the spine as you work your way to the business end just a bit instead of making if square, it will be awesome.
