A couple years ago I was just getting into quality knives and I hadn't even surpassed the $100 mark yet. My dad and I discovered a gun and knife show that was local and we decided to go and check it out. I saw some cheaper knives and then I came across a glass case filled with ZT's which I never had the chance to handle before this point.

I saw a 0301 in the case and I asked the guy if I could see it and he said he carries that knife, he then pulled it out of his pocket and handed it to me. I thought it was the coolest knife I'd ever had the opportunity to hold in my hands. It was heavy, sturdy, and looked like a real working man's knife that you could do just about anything with and it would be just fine. I told myself that one day I will own that knife.

I still go to gun and knife show with my dad from time to time and we always have a great time. It's become kind of our thing going to the shows to check out all the cool knives and guns.

I finally bought a 0300BW last week, not the same model that I had handled that day although it's essentially the same knife. I love this knife so much and it's very sad to me that the 0300 series is being discontinued by ZT this year.

So post some cool pictures of you're 0300 series knives here's a couple pictures of mine.

I REALLY want one of those. Probably not gonna happen, but I got to handle one for a bit and it was the coolest knife I've ever held.

Well I got mine for $199 from Kershaw Guy and that's the cheapest I could find one. Save your money man this knife is worth the wait.

I used to have a 0301, had to sell it to pay some bills last year. Still miss that knife but can't justify the repurchase as I didn't carry it. I'm pretty amazed that they are discontinuing some of the iconic knives that built their name into what it is today.

The 301 is a great knife. I carried one every single day for a little over a year. Jeans, shorts, didn't mind the 8 ounces of Ti and steel.

Just got bored with using the same knife day in and day out, and with Ti framelocks in general. So now I switched to a differant manufacturer and a differant type of knife. I passed the 301 on to my 16 year old son, and he carries it almost every day.

As long as he doesn't lose it, he might even be able to pass it on when he has kids. I don't think he will be able to wear it out. ;)

The 300 series is iconic, really great knives. They do take up a good chunk of pocket space though.

That's awesome and I don't think it's possible to wear out a 0301.

The 0300 was my first expensive knife and I'll probably hang on to it for a long time to come. However, I do applaud ZT for being rather fearless in letting successful designs go while they move forward and release new products (plus it might make it easier for me to get another 0300 on the cheap soon :D)
