Triceratops modification (poll)

I love the blade/feel... but my state has a law against having metal knuckle guards in public.
I'd like to be able to carry it past the end of my driveway.

I'm thinking of modding one or both of the two I have... maybe not both the same.

Just for fun... would love to see your vote for top pick and/or hear why.

I’m assuming you could still own it as long as you don’t carry it on your person. One of the best Busse knives ever created has a ring on it. Busse Assault Ring Fighter.

The ring on this triceratops is obviously best but would choose #1 to be consistent with the menacing pointy design language.

--> two head knocker options... #6 and #7
--> two more pokey options... #8 and #9 (very similar to #1... just a bit more rounded at the butt of the spine)
--> ability for you to change your vote

Could you modify the ring to be a bottle / can opener, and would such a mod make it legally not a knuckle guard??

I like #2, but I’d poke myself. I would make both sides of the ring a little longer and smooth them out, keeping the finger groove intact for handling.

#4, but I'd thin and straighten the underside curve some too. Keep the top hump.

All handles except #2, #3 & #4 can open a bottle. No silent night blade catch type of gizmo this round.

Anything other than the bobtail versions will be hell on your ribs/torso if you actual carry it and move around from time to time, unless you plan to carry horizontally or on your gear. Ring is most functional, but the bobtail versions put the "Fun" in functional as it will look like a classy but sci/fi take on a concealed dagger.
