Can anyone recommend close comparable knives to this blade?
Strider or Other Maker? I'm doing a round-up of 'Survival' blades and would appreciate your input. Comparable means
1) Blade between 4.5"-5.5" long.
2) Edge profile like a Hunter/Bushcraft (no recurves)
3) High Caliber steel
4) Tenacious grip

It's going to be hard to find knives that are comparable to the quality of the Trident/Crusader Forge knives. I have a TCFM02, Oberland01, and the Oberland 03.

But I would go along with the ones that Fishface5 has listed and would add the Micro Tech Currahee to his list(if it just did not have the big choil)

I don't know if it meets all the requirements, but the Greco Companion is one tough knife for less than $100.

The NWA BF bushcraft knife looks like it fits the bill, for a mighty nice price - & you could always roughen up the grip too if you wanted to.
