Does anyone else find that the line-cutter notch in the handle of their Trident makes for a pretty decent bottle opener in a pinch? I was just wondering if I was alone on this one.

I don't use it for that, lol. I think it would scratch the kydex. Did it work well? If I where you, I would use a normal opener.

Yeah, it works pretty well.
There are a few small marks in the handle from this practice, but I've been carrying this knife (and using it hard) every day for several years, so it's as far from a safety queen as you can get. A few more scratches are barely noticeable.

I suppose that I should clarify just a bit. If I am anywhere near a real bottle opener, I use one. I have on occasion, though, used my Trident in a pinch to open a couple of bottles when no openers were to be had.
