... and it worked out pretty well! Louisiana Alligator; bought two hides from our leather show in May, this was the first piece I made with it. Have a great weekend all!

Very nicely done... like that.... like it a lot!
Is it for a particular knife?

I agree really like it. Particularly using the border stamp to make the frame and then stamping it well enough to give the frame depth.

Thank you sir! Yeah, this is for a Sheepdog Mini C01C custom I've been meaning to make a sheath for.

Thanks Dave! Always appreciate the kind words my friend!

Good deal Mt. 1911 holsters are just a lot of fun for me. What I do most of the time when I just want to make something for fun.

very nice work. I have not ventured into inlay yet.

Thank you!

I've been wanting to make one for some time now as the 1911 platform is what I really love when it comes to handguns. Just had to wait until my skill set got good enough to do it. I think I can pull it off now. I have two Wilson Combat 1911's with a 4" slide and officer frame that need an equally high quality holster. Anyway, I'm going to start with an Avenger style holster and have some good ideas when it comes to stamping and using some exotic hide for inlay and / or trim. I'll likely go with black shark or maybe black gator with the lighter veg tan leather. We'll see. Stay tuned, you know where I'll be posting when I finish :).
