Tried out a Paintball Bow and Arrow this weekend

Pretty wild! I used to shoot a compound bow, and it was really neat to be able to shoot one again--even with Paintball projectiles instead of arrows!

The bow uses no C02 canister or compressed air, unlike other paintball markers, but instead works off the air compressed in a large tube by drawing the bow.

Here's what it looks like:

Very cool gadget, even if it is completely impractical for anything but Scenario games. With a 50lb pull, I can easily out-shoot it with my pump Phantom, shown here:

Not that I think faster loading is always better. I do shoot a marker with a 15 ball capacity, even in Speedball. But still, it would be much easier to catch an Airowgun user on the draw than me reloading my Phantom.

Your trunk looks like it belongs to a terrorist. I hope you never get pulled over!!!!

Actually, the group I go with have started changing completely out of their BDU's or speedball gear before we hit a restaurant at the end of the day.

People ask all kinds of weird questions, and it's amazing how many folks out in Corona don't know that SC Village Paintball Park--which is one of the largest in the Tri-State area--is right up the street.

Of course, they might just be reacting to the mud.

You should see the rest of the gear and markers after a full day. Unfortunately I didn't take photos, but I just finished running a load of laundry for the 3rd time, and hosing down my boots a 2nd time.

The paint is all washed off, it's the mud that won't budge.

If you had enough of those bows, you could do a "300" reenactment. :D

BTW - :thumbup::thumbup: on the Phantom. :D

That is a really cool attachment. It would certainly slow the game down. Which is why people probably wouldn't buy them...

It'd be great for your Rambo scenarios!

I was thinking the same thing. Rubber knife plus THIS= Rambo Scenario Games!:D Okay, maybe not the knife, it would be insanely difficult to eliminate someone with that. I suppose you could always use this for plinking somewhere where you couldn't get a proper arrow stop, say a really big basement?

Its neat...but wont touch my ego.;)

I shoot archery and hunt, I cant imagine that being better than a pump gun. You must play with some good guys or patient ones, most of the guys I play with laugh at the idea of using pumps...if it dont put out 20+ a second, they dont want it. Good on ya:thumbup:
