There's nothing wrong with the automated system and failing that the paypal option in the FAQ.

I just tried using a CC and when I hit the submit button in both IE and Chrome it takes me to a blank page. I don't have paypal.

It looks as though your membership has went through

Please update your usergroup to show you have a paid membership. To do this Click on Settings (top right) -> Permissions Groups and update.

Looks like I ordered 3 times. 1 gold and 2 basics. Any way I can get refunded for the 2 basics and keep the gold?

Have one gold and three basics. For some reason when you submit the form it doesn't give acknowledgement or receipt. Might be my fault because I refreshed the white page and it sent me back to the form which read that transaction was cancelled. Gotta call one stop.
