Tried to make tea part 2, success

It was -20 C this morning and figured that this would be a good testing day. I was out for 2.5 hours and made some hot tea and a hot pot of noodles for breakfast. Believe me I was enjoying the hot fluids. I found that my mood was lifted and I felt invigorated with all that hot beef broth in me. About half way through my toes were starting to freeze so I popped on some wool socks. I have double wool military inserts but being hunched on toes and knees for a long time messed me up. It was night and day in regard to dry wood prep when I had the folding saw and hatchet, which by the way fit perfectly in the cargo pocket of my snow suit. I knocked some cones down and tried them in the stove. They were ok but nothing special. I packed my garbage out when I left and tried to minimize traces of my presence. This was the third burn with the Emberlit and a cold day. I had to spike the stove with chunks now and then, and sometimes blow into the air vents. Regardless, all fires need maintenance and the effort was minor. I feel more appreciative of this tiny portable stove after every use.

Glad you had better results this time round amigo.

Stay warm this weekend!

P.s. best you ask Santa for more woolen(!*) socks this year! They cannot be underestimated.

*my darn typo's get worse!!
