Got this from the post office before they even tried to deliver it. One of my new favorite Busses!

Seems like it worked pretty well. I didn't try to hard to deal with the coating right at the choil or butt end. I didn't strip it first, just used the two finest sanding belts I've got and a scotch brite belt.

Wow, that was fast. Looks good, too. I'm gonna be stripping mine, but it's 25 mi. away through the snow at the bakery right now.

That does look very nice. Thanks for so many in hand pictures, makes it easier to se what it really looks like in life.

This knife feels great in the hand, but the black coating drives me nuts. The way it'll flake off and scratch....Now that I've got some other satin blades it seemed like it was time to try and do it myself. Made a sheath today too, not to happy with it though. I rushed too much.

I personally don't mind the crinkle coat. Yes it wears off, but it seems like it is pretty damn tough! And it does a great job of protecting the blade; something I worry about living so close to the ocean.

I like the satin job you've done though. Looks good. I also appreciate the in hand shots, as I have been wondering about that.

Great job man. I'm probably not going to strip mine until i wear the coating badly though, i've yet to do that, I always end up stripping them.

Looks like you did a pretty nice job to me! I'll be getting a BOSS Street, and I'll leave the coating on mine, but if they make a satin or D/C (regular production) one available, I'll be really tempted. Yours looks nice, and very functional. Oh, and +1 on the thanks for the in-hand pics - those are always useful (not that I wasn't already sure I was getting one).
