I was looking to buy some new moras and I've been looking at alot of them but there is one thing I've been wondering about and that is wheather triflex out performs the regular steel. And I was also wondering what the steel is made of

It outperforms their standard blades in terms of toughness, but in that trait only. The steel is their usual 1095 but they use a different heat treatment process to decarburize the surface layer.

+1 The Triflex Bushcraft takes a good edge. Mine has an inclusive 25 degree edge. I believe it is a high carbon steel. I read that it was a UH steel similar to 1095. It has been around for some time and was designed as a shock resistant steel. Unless you are worried about rust it is as good as the 12C27 Bushcrafters.
