Trinidad Machete help?????!

Found this amount my late Fathers stuff. I remember it from growing up when my Dad scared my Mom to death by showing her a dead rat we scooped up with it. Only thing I found was a similar one for sale stamped with a English stamp Robert Mole and Sons. This one does not have that. Can anyone help???

It was very likely made either by Robert Mole & Sons of Birmingham, England, as you surmised, or by one of the other English manufacturers, with the handle having been done locally, probably for the tourist trade.
