So the famdamily is thinking about going to Colorado in June (Week of 6-12 june to be exact) for Mom's graduation from the University of Denver Masters in Transportation Management Program that has been totally corrupted by COVID on the 11th. We'd like to do some easy 4 wheeling (gotta drive home) and just kind of hang out and chill with the dog.

Right now, we're looking at Golden, Durango and Estes Park. Vrbo rentals are about 250-300/night for 6 and a dog. You guys got any recommendations or pointers?

Durango area for sure. the town is built around the D&S Narrow Gage Railroad. you have to take the steam train round trip to Silverton. It goes thru the Animus Canyon that you can only see by rail. It's one of the most amazing things that I've ever done.

From Denver, go 70 to Grand Junction and start south to Ouray. It's an incredible town. It sits right at the base of the mountains like a town in Switzerland. You can see three different waterfalls while standing in town. Take a jeep tour or just drive up in the mountains to Yankee Boy Basin. Wildflowers look like a box of crayons. If you stay in Silverton do the Alpine Loop either by car or rent a sxs.
