Hey folks I was wondering what are knife laws like in Canada specifically the city of Montreal? I will be staying in the touristy part of the city and I am going in through Amtrak. My current EDC knives are the Victorinox tinker and CRKT Drifter. I have a Spyderco UKPK in drop point as my NYC edc (I live outside the city). Should I go with the UKPK just to be safe?

someone from montreal might be able to give a better idea, but I'd just go with the tinker. that way you have what you need, but its not a huge loss if something comes up. My main guess would be bars and clubs would be your main no-carry zones, but possibly also public transport. the city bylaws should be available on their website.

In Canada, the only knives you outright can't carry are switchblades, balisongs and gravity knives.

So long as you're not carrying for SD and only intend to use it as a general purpose cutting tool, you'll be fine. All of the knives you mentioned are A-OK on this side of the border.
