Went to Sugarloaf Mountain in Maryland today for a little climbing. Got there a little late, was our first time there and we got lost. The weather was a little on the hot side, but otherwise a good day. Didn't climb anything too difficult, mainly just played around. Which, in my opinion, is how climbing should be. Fun.
We went indoors afterwards to keep on climbing, and that's where the numbers started to matter just a little more. Managed up a few V5s, here's a video.

Don't know if anybody can follow the pink problem on that wall, but I found it more difficult than the black that is in the video. It was rated lower. Maybe I was tired. It's more fun.

And here are some photos.

Middle Earth, where we started climbing.

There was a nice view at the top of the cliffs.

The pinnacle, we didn't climb there.

Masterpoint (top) connected to two biners, connected to dynamic line, which is tied into my harness (double figure eight with an insurance knot)

Annoying roof, took a little while to find a solid hold above it.

I was in the middle of taking down the anchor, the masterpoint is no more, but the rest is there.

And the 11 bragging to all the other Beckers.

Thanks for looking.

Looks like the two of you had a great time, nice photos, thanks for sharing. Haven't done any climbing like that before, but it's on my list :)

Awesome thread! Great pics, equally great story. Thanks for sharing! Looks like both of you had a great time.

Nice send. I used to climb on a team (USAC) and miss it all the time. Best I could climb is V5 and .12b outdoors. I love climbing. Thanks for the pics/vid.

Once you start it's hard to stop. Unless you break something. Or tear something...

Oh man, impressive stuff. Highest I've ever managed was a .11 outdoors. Or a .12. Depends on the guide book you go by. Never bourldered outdoors. Don't have a mat for it, and the falls I take while bouldering...
 very nice! I like

That looks awesome!

Very pretty area.

Very cool man! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys.

Cool. That looks like nice country. I did a lot of climbing years ago. Most of my joints are shot to remind me of it. I guided for several years and it was some of the best fun I remember having. Miss those days. Good to see the Beckers went out with you.
