Triple Action: Is It Worth the Money?

I buy Cold Steel products to try every once in a while, despite my loyalty to Spyderco ever since I bought their stainless Dragonfly when I was a Tenderfoot Scout a couple years ago (the Military is the perfect folding backpacking knife, IMHO). The only ones I haven't gotten screwed with are my Shinobus and my X2 Voyager. Does anybody have a Triple Action DE? And, if so, is it worth the $75 I've found it for? I like the idea of a double edged folding knife that's not a bali...I tend to cut myself on my Arc Angel a lot (that's also a good one). In the Cold Steel world of hit-or-miss quality, I wanted to make sure...Thanks. God bless you and America.

It's actualy no to bad the ones i've handled tend to be a bit tight out of the box and need break in. Once loose they are easy to manipulate. A bit over priced tho. Seems to me I read somewhere that the design dates back to the early 20th century.

What I dont like about them is the aluminum handles. I personally think they should have been made out of stainless steel

I have an old one with AUS 10A steel, and pot metal soft aluminum. It sticks, and won't open like it should. It's uncomfortable, and not ergonomic. It is sharp and AUS 10A is decent steel though. I'm not sure what they are using now. I do not reccomend it, and consider it a waste of money. Regards, Joe

One for $53 flat on eBay, auction ends before too long, can't imagine it going much higher...How about one for around that?

i got one for about 70 on ebay. i found that i realy got to like, its sort of a mix of a traditional tactical folder and a balisong. i had the dagger version, the steel was great, only sharpened it onc eor twice i think, (aus 10 ) it was preaty fun to manipulate and very light and easy to carry. id recomend it, its a great knife and well priced.

Thanks for the heads-up. I think I'll just get another Spyderco. :D Nowadays, that seems to be where money is best spent..there stuff is just unbeat for performance and knife for the cash. Thanks again. God bless America.
