I had one of my purveyors in Pa. ask me to make him a group of fairly simple carbon steel hunters for use in the field there, and these are the results. 8"OAL, 1095 blade steel w/antique finish. Scale material is osage orange, rosewood, and weathered barn oak. All have danglers with matching beads, nickle silver pins and thong tubes, and mosaic pins that I made myself.Sheaths are pouch style veg-tan and are simply tooled. These pieces will be used and used hard.

Very nice John. I too like the Rosewood model best. I like mosaic pins utilized tactfully as in these pieces. I especially like them when created by the knifemaker.

Thanks Kevin. I bought one stick of mosaic pin material 9 years ago, and decided I was to cheap to pay almost 30.00 bucks a foot, and have been making my own ever since!

A very good-looking trio - there's no reason a working knife can't be attractive as well. Nice work.
