I think I need a week to recover. It was not the turkey and fixins so much as the smoke inhalation. I burned a lot of junk wood in a fire for fun while I smoked a turkey, and this morning I sounded like Froggy from the Little Rascals. :disgust:

However, on the better side of things was the vittels.

I kept the bird down to minimum size, about 9 pounds.


Some lemon-pepper over butter helped out & I juiced the breast meat with lemon juice through a syringe, and stuffed the cavity with the rinds.



I am no expert, just a newb cook, and the old lemon tree saved my birds bacon by lending the most awesome flavor.


And the star carver turned out to be the BK15.


Now, where did that pie disappear too?:playful:
