I got this for a song, Auntie had it listed as a blem due to a small chip of wood missing from the handle and a slightly damaged sheath. I only paid $60!!!! now that's a deal no matter how u slice it. It is a hand made knife that is well balanced, polished perfectly, and just plain sexy. I would have to pay close to $500 or more to have a custom knife maker in the states attempt this knife.
It really has some sexy curves going on especially near the tip of the blade. It dips down making look almost like a swedge grind but no material is removed from the sides. The handle feels great even for with large hands. Its very very sharp and the hilt design is very nice. It appears to be a great fighter with the ability to "trap" an attackers blade... You can catch your opponents blade in the guard, then twist. You might get lucky and disarm him if he is still putting downward force. It has to be a quick move that relies on both his downward pressure and your twisting action. It will only work in certain circumstances but it is possible with practice. Overall I find it to by a great fighter. I would Love to see a guard like that on the Suga. Merging the Suga and Trisul might bring about an unbelievable useful fighter.
Here are some pics, enjoy...

The spine narrows and tapers at both the grip and point creating a perfectly balanced knife.

Gorgeous "step" that needs to be seen to appreciate.
